# TACITUS visitor-comprehension and journey protocol

Protocol version 1.0, September 30, 2026. No interviews or conversion lift claimed.

Recruit five to eight consenting policy/research practitioners and two technical evaluators. Ask each to describe the independent experimental project, workspace and capsule after viewing the home page; find the current free-access conditions; identify one tested and one proposed capability; inspect a claim/source/review example; and prepare an inquiry without a desktop mail client.

Record task completion, wrong turns, interpretation errors, accessibility barriers and time to the first useful action. Test mobile, keyboard navigation, zoom, reduced motion and a JavaScript-disabled reading journey. Do not coach visitors with internal terminology. Use observations to revise copy before treating survey agreement as proof.

With optional analytics permission, measure product/workflow link visits and successful web-inquiry acceptance separately from local draft preparation. Completed form delivery is not a qualified pilot discussion. Join qualified outcomes only through an authorized, minimal process; do not add personal information or source text to analytics. Establish a baseline and a comparable observation period before attributing changes to the redesign.
