The Capsule Registry
Vision — launching as a curated galleryA mediator’s escalation heuristics. A sanctions lawyer’s assumption checklist. A former desk officer’s country priors. Today that knowledge retires with the expert. The registry makes it a portable, inspectable, attributed asset.
The model is the proven open-core registry playbook — public capsules free and open, private registries for institutions that need to compile, sign, host, and govern their own. Not a prompt marketplace: capsules carry review tiers, provenance, and attribution that survive use.
An expert packages their reasoning — heuristics, checklists, traps, output contracts — as a Tool or Output capsule, through a structured interview, not a blank page.
Tiered review levels (T1–T3) determine how strongly downstream agents may rely on the capsule, and reviewers are named in the object.
Every output produced with the capsule can cite not only its sources but whose thinking shaped it. Lineage and versions are first-class.
Capsules attach to PRAXIS or any compatible workflow over the open format — privately, inside an organization, or in the open gallery.
The registry doesn’t launch empty. It launches with a pattern library — documented Tool and Output capsules written like a design-pattern catalog, each solving a problem every serious desk recognizes:
Assumption Check
Tool capsule · pattern
Interrogate a draft’s load-bearing assumptions before any research begins.
Red Team
Tool capsule · pattern
Argue the other side with the same evidence — required before recommendations ship.
Competing Hypotheses (ACH)
Tool capsule · pattern
The classic matrix, as executable devices: evidence scored against every hypothesis, not just the favorite.
Commitment Audit
Tool capsule · pattern
Every promise extracted, dated on both clocks, tracked against behavior.
Decision Memo
Output capsule · pattern
The contract for a memo a principal can act on: structure, register, citation appendix.
Situation Report House Style
Output capsule · pattern
Your institution’s SITREP discipline, enforced clause by clause.
Patterns ship with documentation, sample compiled-context excerpts, and downloads — authored with practitioners, reviewed before they carry a name.
A glyph drawn deterministically from the capsule’s integrity hash — the picture is the checksum.
Signing (Merkle root + Ed25519) is on the open spec roadmap. The registry launches when the verification layer it depends on is real — in the meantime, the pattern library is its seed inventory and the reference capsule shows the object it will distribute.
We’re assembling the first cohort of capsule authors — practitioners whose judgment is worth packaging. You bring the expertise; a structured interview does the heavy lifting; you review everything before it carries your name.
